Murat Sabaz and Aybala Şimşek have been appointed as Şekerbank Executive Vice Presidents. Murat Sabaz is going to be responsible for SME and Agricultural Banking Marketing, and Aybala Şimşek for Strategy and Corporate Communications. With the said appointments made to top management of the bank subsequent to Servet Taze’s appointment to Şekerbank General Manager two months ago, it is intended to implement the focal strategy in a clearer way.
Sabaz to manage marketing of 60 percent of total credit portfolio…
Appointed to Şekerbank Executive Vice President, Murat Sabaz is going to be responsible for the marketing activities targeting farmers, craftsmen, small-sized enterprises and SME, which the bank regards as its focal customer segments. By gathering the said segments constituting the focal point of its strategy under a single roof, the Bank aims to grow in agricultural banking, which is the founding mission of the Bank, and the enterprise-SME segments, in which it enjoys a considerable customer base thanks to its widespread branch network 66 percent of which is spread over Anatolia.
Sabaz, who will manage the SME, enterprise and agriculture segments constituting 60 percent of Şekerbank's total credit portfolio, is one of the experienced professionals within the sector. Sabaz, who started his professional career at Körfezbank in 1992, served as a marketing manager, branch manager and group head of the corporate marketing department at Finansbank between the years 1995 and 2002. Appointed to Fiba Bank as an Executive Vice President responsible for Corporate and Commercial Banking in March, 2002, Sabaz later worked as a General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Credit Europe Bank Romania, formerly "Finansbank Romania". Murat Sabaz, finally, served as a General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors for KentBank d.d., Zagreb in Croatia. Sabaz is a graduate of Faculty of Business Administration, Bilkent University.

Appointed Şekerbank Executive Vice President, Aybala Şimşek is going to be responsible for Strategy and Coordination, Process Development, Organization and Customer Experience Management, Sustainable Development Banking, Micro Finance Credits, Advertising and Media Planning, and Corporate Communication.
Enjoying a different and special position in the private sector banking thanks to the responsible banking approach it has been pursuing for 63 years, Şekerbank has gathered the management of the abovementioned areas in the new period when it will implement its focal strategy in a clearer way, and appointed Aybala Şimşek, who has already worked for years in the Bank as the Senior Vice President responsible for these areas, to the said office. Serving in Şekerbank since the year 2007, Şimşek has completed her undergraduate study at the Faculty of Communications, Ankara University and her postgraduate study at the MBA Department of the Faculty of Business Administration, Bilgi University, and she is also a graduate of the Program of General Management at the Harvard Business School.
