The first contemporary art gallery which focused on the new media medium in Turkey, hosting the new exhibition of an award winner artist Kıvılcım Harika Seydim.The works selected under the curation of Ali Akay is focused on ‘being of perception’. “A Journey to Being of Perception” works of the award-winner artist Kıvılcım Harika Seydim’s single show can be seen until the 30th of May.
Silent Contact between ‘Me and the World’
Ever since her initial periods, Seydim's works focus on 'the body as a being' with a regard, which wants to think about perception and regards body as a part of perception. Focused on the relationship emerging between ‘the visible and the invisible’, the Artist presents the shifts between perceptibility and imperceptibility to perception of the audience. While revealing the World as a world we either can or cannot see, but we are hesitant to -or not to- notice, the videos are about the establishment and relocation of this relationship.
Within the scope of the “A Journey to Being of Perception”, Kıvılcım Harika Seydim’s video work “Untitled(5)” can be seen 7/24 in Feneryolu-Istanbul, Küçükesat & Çankaya-Ankara, Alpullu-Kırklareli, Ordu, Izmir, Bodrum, Mardin and Edirne branches of Şekerbank simultaneously with the Açıkekran New Media Arts Gallery.
